Overview: Google Analytics 4

This feature is supported for all versions of Aspenware Commerce.

Feature Description

Google Analytics integration helps resorts deliver a high-quality ecommerce site to guests and provides the resort with all the necessary information regarding the website and e-commerce statistics. The GA4 product includes valuable new data, offering insights into customer behavior, the impact of marketing efforts, pricing changes, promotions, discounts, etc. The feature lets resorts know at what rate guests visit their site, converting, and not interested. Google Analytics allows resorts to track and understand guest behavior, user experience, online content, device functionality, and more.

NOTE: The original iteration of Google Analytics, also known as Universal Analytics (UA), was sundown by Google on July 1, 2023.

Google Analytics works by including a block of JavaScript code on pages on the resort’s ecommerce site. When guests to the site view a page, this JavaScript code references a JavaScript file, which then executes the tracking operation for Google Analytics. Aspenware Commerce’s single-page app technology requires a custom Google Tag Manager configuration to properly track Google Analytics within Aspenware Commerce.
