Configuration: Adobe Analytics Credentials

Overview

In preparation for the support of Google Analytics 4, Aspenware Commerce has added the ability to load Adobe Analytics credentials for resort customers who use both reporting platforms. Including these credentials will enable Adobe Analytics to connect and pull data from the same tags that GA4 will leverage. In essence, users of both platforms will have access to two reporting interfaces.

Detailed Setup

Detailed Setup Guide

1. Load Adobe Analytics Credentials in Aspenware Commerce

  • Obtain your resort’s Adobe Analytics credentials (this will be a URL to third-party host).

  • In each Aspenware commerce site:

    1. Go to Configuration > Settings > All Settings (advanced) and search for the setting called seosettings.customheadtags

    2. Click Edit.

    3. In the Value field, insert the following script and customize it where indicated with “sampleurltobecustomized” by adding the Adobe Analytics credential URL obtained above.

      <script>(function(){var f=document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0],j=document.createElement('script');j.src='https://sampleurltobecustomized.com/adobe_combined.js';f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f)})();</script>

    4. Click Save and verify the connection.

2. Verify that the Correct GTM Container is Installed

Check that the correct GTM container ID is installed. In some cases, we insert the Aspenware GTM ID as a filler. The resort needs to provide their GTM Container ID, which will allow data captured to be displayed in their Google Analytics Dashboard. If they are identical (as shown in the sample) it is likely the Aspenware GTM ID entered in both fields as a placeholder, and will need to be updated.
