Enhanced Matching Logic for Customer Profile Completion
We’ve updated the logic in Identity v3 (powered by Auth0) for users directed to the Customer Profile page.
Existing users with an authentication profile in RTP who need to add missing information (such as phone number or date of birth) will be directed to the Customer Profile page to update their information. If their profile matches another customer in RTP with the same first name, last name, and email address, we will no longer match to the secondary customer.
Previously, such matches resulted in the merging of the customers, which could unintentionally remove associated media from the user.
Resolved Issues
Dynamic Pricing - Using V1 for Pricing
In version 3.6, we identified issues with V1 Dynamic Pricing related to data storage, causing bugs around date availability. Resorts were advised to stop using V1 entirely, except in specific cases, and we implemented data fixes to address problems with products previously priced using V1.
Since then, we’ve observed that transitioning entirely to V2 is not feasible due to performance challenges and workflow complexities. Additionally, pricing complex products has proven more efficient in V1.
As a result, resorts can now use V1 to define product prices as long as they clear cache after updates, but the initial setup for dynamic pricing—such as adding levels (tiers) and days to arrival windows (override windows)—must ONLY be done in V2. To ensure data integrity, scripts developed to fix V1-related issues will automatically run upon clearing the cache.
If incorrect pricing data continues to appear on the PDP after updating prices in V1 and clearing the cache, please contact Aspenware Customer Success. We’ll verify that there are no foundational issues with the setup, particularly if the product was initially configured using V1. If you are experiencing slowness with loading V2 for defining the initial setup for a complex product or product that has existed for many seasons, please contact Aspenware Customer Success as we’ve found removal of old data can speed up this module.
Checkout Issue for 'Media Included' Products
An enhancement in the 3.6 release inadvertently caused an issue affecting products with the 'Media Included' setting. Guests with carts containing such products were unable to complete checkout due to the media step's continue button being disabled. This issue has now been resolved.
