Resort Tools 3.8

Resolved Issues

Device-level Authentication Flow

This release introduces a new device-level authentication flow to enhance security across Resort Tools. Now, when Resort Tools is installed on a new device, resort staff will be required to sign in to activate the application. Devices will require re-authentication every 180 days to ensure access remains secure and authorized, aligning with the start and end of each season.

Credentials for Resort Tools

Each resort will receive two types of credentials:

  • Admin Credentials: For configuring Resort Tools settings and managing access.

  • User Credentials: For granting guest access to Resort Tools.

Each resort will initially receive one Admin credential and one User credential. For additional credentials or if credentials are lost or compromised, please submit a ticket via the Aspenware Support Portal for prompt assistance.

Important Details

  • Session Duration: Sign-in sessions last for 180 days, after which re-authentication on each device will be required.

  • Device-Specific Sign-In: Each terminal must be individually signed in for guest access.

Best Practice

Aspenware recommends that resort teams log in to each Resort Tools Self-Registration Kiosk and Guest Check-In device before opening for each Summer and Winter Season. This will ensure that your kiosks are not logged out during your daily operations.

IMPORTANT: Aspenware strongly recommends implementing the Resort Tools Security Recommendations.
