Generating FreedomPay Credentials with a TransArmor Token

Who Needs This Process?

If you have an existing integration with TRI and have been using Payeezy with a TransArmor Token (TA Token) and now wish to continue using the TA Token with FreedomPay, this guide will walk you through the conversion. New customers who have an existing integration with TRI and want to use FreedomPay with their Aspenware platform may also need to follow this process.

Setup Guide

Follow the instructions below to complete the generation of your new FreedomPay credentials that are linked to your TA token.

Obtain VAR from TRI

Contact TRI to assist you with requesting a copy of your value-added reseller (VAR) sheet. This file contains important payment processing information such as Merchant identification number (MID), Merchant account information, and other business details.

Request a New Account from FreedomPay

Even if you are an existing FreedomPay customer, you will need to request a NEW account. This account should have a unique MID and TID, and you will ask that it passes TransArmor Tokens (TA Tokens).

  • The default token type at FreedomPay is EACR. You are requesting a different type – LPUI.

  • Ensure that you are not using an Amex-Direct

  • Your account needs to be boarded via a FiServ location. NashvillePTS is correct.

IMPORTANT: Do not ask to change an existing MID/TID to this token type. It will break any existing processes.

  • Obtain your Client ID, Client Name and Share Group ID from FreedomPay. You will need these later in the process to generate credentials.
