Use Cases: Add-On Products

Add-ons are used when a resort wants to add an optional or required SKU to be offered with a core product. Below are some examples of commonly used add-ons.

  • Pass Insurance - Offers guests the opportunity for a partial or full refund in the event they are unable to use their pass for the season.

  • Helmet Rental - Offers guests the option to rent a helmet with their purchase either for free or at a cost.

  • Boots Rental - Offers guests the option to rent boots with their purchase either for free or at a cost.

  • Damage Waiver - Offers guests the option to protect their rental gear from accidental damage, without which they may be liable to pay for the repairs.

  • Lift Ticket - When purchasing a rental or lesson, a discounted or full-priced lift ticket can be offered as an add-on instead of requiring the guest to buy a lift ticket on a separate product page.

  • Rental Package - When purchasing a lift ticket or lesson, a discounted or full-priced rental can be offered as an add-on instead of requiring the guest to buy a lift ticket on a separate product page.

  • Donation - Guests can optionally decide to donate predetermined amounts to noble causes chosen by resorts. This can also be paired with some type of incentive for guests to donate.

  • Upgraded Access - For an additional charge, guests can be given early access to specific lifts or access to other areas/activities specified by a resort.

  • Kids ski free product - When purchasing a full priced adult ticket or pass, enable a free kids ticket to be added on. This add-on product can also be assigned to a child and does not have to inherit the assignment of the core product if configured properly.
