Overview: Golf - EZLinks Tee Time Reservations

This feature is supported for: Resorts with an EZLinks subscription and a Golf license with Aspenware. The functionality to store the guest’s credit card in RTP|One, in order to charge no-show fees, is only supported for Authorize.net if RTP|One is not tokenized or Payeezy if RTP|One is tokenized.

This feature is not supported for: Resorts using Siriusware as a POS. Collecting a guest’s credit card for unsupported payment providers.

Feature Description

Searching for a course

Golf reservation products are hosted in their own “Tee Time” category, which has a distinctive look from the ski product category display. An optimized search tool enables guests to easily filter available tee times and add to the cart based on their desired date and time, the number of holes, and the number of players. If the course has availability based on search criteria, then a short description of the course along with the rate is displayed. If a course does not have available tee times based on search criteria, then the course image is greyed out and a message informing guests that no tee times are available is displayed.

Adding reservations to cart

Once a guest has selected a course, the course is expanded so they can select from available tee-times and add the desired players to their cart. The course tee time product page does not load a separate page, but rather expands to display more details for optimized performance and user experience.

Checkout for tee-times

For resorts using a supported payment provider, the checkout flow highlights to the guest that their credit card is being collected to reserve the tee time but is not being charged at the time of purchase.

Prior to completing the reservation, a configurable language string is available to add custom text to notify guests of booking and course policies as well as how much they will be charged upon check in.

 

Overbooking prevention & price change assurance

Once an order is completed in AW, the reservation is sent to EZLinks and that tee-time and player quantity are removed from further reservations.

Further, there is no cart “locking”. If two guests add the same date/time to their cart, the guest that fully completes checkout first will reserve the tee-time and the other guest will receive a message that the tee-time is no longer available.

This error message will also display if Aspenware is unable to connect to EZLinks during the final checkout step. If a guest added a reservation to their cart and the tee-time price changed, the guest would not be allowed to complete checkout and they would receive a message that the price has changed, and would be required to re-book.

Online Check-in / Customer Pre-pay

Resorts can enable/disable guests to check-in and prepay for their course on the day of their tee time reservation. Guests receive the following check-in message at the bottom of their confirmation email. The Check-in link will take them to the check-in page with their details pre-loaded to allow for easy check in.
