Use Cases: Payment Plan Products
Here are some real-world examples of how customers have used payment plan products creatively.
Family pass payment plan - Buying a pass for an entire family can be pricey, so many resorts have created family pass offerings. Aspenware makes buying a pass for an entire family as easy as 1 click of add to cart, and then assignments and waivers for each family member can be completed in the checkout. Read more here on family passes. These family passes can also be offered as a payment plan product.
Year-round pass - Mt. Bachelor offers an Outplay 365 pass, which gives guests access to an all-access winter season pass and a summer pass for the following summer. Guests pay monthly installments throughout the months their pass is valid. (Aspenware also has separate functionality called subscriptions which could support a continuing “membership,” which requires a different setup from payment plans. If this is interesting to you, talk to your Aspenware Representative.)
Add-on products offered as payment plan - Copper offered a payment plan option for their season pass add-on products of Woodward Barn and Premier Pass Upgrade. These add-on products were charged on the same schedule as the season pass payment plan schedule.
Rewarding loyal pass holders with price breaks and credits on next year's passes - When lifts closed early in 2019, many resorts gave 2018/19 pass holders a credit to use towards the next year's pass. This year, even though (fingers crossed) a full season is underway, many resorts are continuing to offer loyal pass-holders a credit to use towards next year’s pass, this can be accomplished using renewal functionality, vouchers, or single-use discount codes and can be offered for full-priced passes and payment plan passes, so talk to your Aspenware representative about available options if you are considering this.
