Setup Checklist

This section is a comprehensive and high level summary of all tasks and prerequisites required for this feature to function properly. This section is purposed for use after an administrator is familiar with configuring this feature as an “audit” checklist. For detailed set-up instructions, jump down to “Prerequisite Tasks” and “Detailed Setup Guide” and then follow up with this checklist to ensure all steps are completed.

Payment Provider Tasks

  • Sign in to your Square Developer Portal at https://connect.squareup.com/apps; use the same sign-in credentials as your merchant account.

  • Click ‘Open’ on your application.

  • In the Square Developer admin go to 'Apple Pay' tab.

  • In the ‘Apple Pay’ tab click ‘Add Domain’.

  • In the pop-up window type in the name of your domain e.g. snowymountain.com. Click ‘Next’.

  • Click on the button ‘Download the verification file’.

  • Once downloaded, copy and paste the link in the pop-up box and open the url in a new tab. Verify that there is a string of numbers showing on the screen of that url (see image below). Note: You will not need to upload the file.

  • Click ‘Verify’ and verify that your url has been added to the list in the Apple Pay: Web section of the page.

NOTE: These actions are not required to enable Google Pay.

Aspenware Commerce Tasks

Once your resort has upgraded to Aspenware Commerce 2.30 or later, you can activate Apple Pay and Google Pay by following these steps:

  • Go to Aspenware Commerce Admin > Configuration > Payment Methods

  • Select the Square payment method > Select Configure

  • Select the applicable checkbox(es):

    1. Enable Apple Pay: Check

    2. Enable Google Pay: Check

IMPORTANT: Currently, Firefox browsers will bring up the Google Pay interface, but will not fully complete Google Pay transactions. If a significant customer-base uses Firefox browser system it may be advised to disable Google Pay.
