This feature is supported for: Resorts using Square as a payment gateway.

This feature is NOT supported for: Resorts not using Square as a payment gateway.

Feature Description

Apple Pay and Google Pay are both widely accepted mobile payment systems that can be used for online purchases straight from an app or website. Both systems handle the checkout process with pre-filled defaults only requiring PIN or Touch ID verification to complete the transaction. Aspenware now allows these technologies to be used within checkout via integrated payment method buttons that give access to digital wallets. In general, digital wallets are known for their security features. For more information on digital wallets for Square see Accept Mobile Wallet Payments | Square Support Center.

Feature Detail

Square will determine whether to show the Apple Pay or Google Pay features based on the browser that is used. In general, Apple Pay works on Safari browsers while Google Pay works on Chrome browsers. As Square, Apple Pay, and Google Pay continue enhancing their applications, it is likely that Apple Pay and Google Pay will be made available on more browsers.

NOTE: Currently Aspenware uses browser sniffing technology to prevent Google Pay from opening on Firefox.

When enabled and available, Google Pay and Apple Pay will show beneath “Payment Details.”
