Q: If vouchers were not created with Template in RTP and can't be redeemed online, will they display?

A: Product, discount, and product discount vouchers do require a template and they should be mapped to an Aspenware product. Payment value can display in my account assuming the report is added to them in RTP.

Q: Do vouchers automatically disappear from the vouchers page once all uses have been used or if the voucher has expired?

A: They do become inactive when used up, and they can also display in an inactive voucher area in my account.

Q: Is there voucher functionality available with any POS systems other than RTP?

A: Currently, Vouchers are only supported in RTP.

Q: Can we see history of emailing certain vouchers to a friend so we don't' send the same vouchers more than once?

A: Not presently. But love the idea!

Q: What's the best purchase path to purchase more than one of the same vouchers products (say F&F - you have 2 vouchers to redeem). Should you link them back to My Account from the fenced PDP?

A: If you use the banner, you can encourage the guest to enter the other voucher in the banner, or link them back to my account voucher link from the product detail short description, prompting them to click “redeem” next to additional vouchers.

Q: Do Discount vouchers link back to an RTP discount? Or just reduce the price

A: When a discount voucher is used, it inactivates the voucher if used up and the lower (discounted) price point is sent to RTP, but the discount accounting does not come across.

Q: What happens if I purchase a product discount voucher and remove the coupon code prior to completing my order?

A: The discount will be removed from the order. However, if the guest does not remove the item from their cart and continues to checkout they will pay full price for the product and have their voucher deactivated.

Q: When we create RTP vouchers, we typically let RTP automatically number the voucher ID. Is there any functionality to prevent a guest from "guessing" voucher numbers?

A: We rely on RTP voucher numbers so generating randomized vouchers in RTP when creating your vouchers is important to prevent guests from randomly guessing vouchers.

Q: What happens if I try to purchase multiple eligible products after adding my discount voucher to my cart?

A: If you have set up your discount voucher discounts with the appropriate requirement types, only one eligible item may be added to your cart before checking out. If a second item is added to the cart the discount will be removed from both products. Should both items then be removed and a single item added back to the cart, the discount will be reapplied.

If discount vouchers are not set up with the cart must contain certain amount of products requirement type, then the discount will apply to all eligible product in the cart.

Q: If I purchase a product discount voucher and remove the coupon code prior to completing my order can I add the coupon code back if I know it?

A: No, the coupon is decoupled from the customer - even if the customer knows the coupon code they will have to re-redeem their voucher through the voucher banner or by way of my account.

Q: Why don’t I see the vouchers requirement type in my discounts administration?

A: Check to make sure you have installed the vouchers plugin. You will need to the vouchers plugin in order for the vouchers requirement type option to display and become selectable.

Q: I’ve set up my discount vouchers but when I add the eligible item to my cart I do not see a discount.

A: Check to see that there is not a coupon code required on your product. If a coupon code is required then the guest will have to redeem the voucher, add the eligible product, and add the coupon code.

Q: Can I put more than one voucher template ID on a product?

A: Yes, though each voucher template ID may only be used on one product.

Q: Can recipient vouchers be redeemed in the Aspenware Vouchers module?

A: Recipient vouchers can be redeemed, but the recipient will not be enforced. If there is a recipient on the voucher, it will be ignored. A stored procedure can be created to gate usage to the customer assigned in RTP. Talk with your Aspenware Representative if you would like to consider this additional functionality. Professional Services fees will apply.
