Aspenware Spotlight
Meet Nathan Stohlmann! A killer Senior DevOps Engineer here at Aspenware. He’s been with us for 8 months now.
Nathan’s favorite project at Aspenware is the initial setup for a couple of our new clients because he was able to dig deep into the way Aspenware deploys our software and help make some considerable optimizations.
When asked what is one thing he wished every one of our Resorts knew about or used, he answered: Identity.
Aspenware Identity maintains user accounts across various applications to ensure that the “Mikaela S.” in the POS is the same person as the “Mikaela S.” in the mobile app and thatMikaela has a streamlined and personalized experience across all the places she interacts with the resort brand online.
Outside of work, you can find Nathan with LEGOs. He is an amateur LEGO builder with a “small” city he loves to display!
What’s New!
Will my pass work at the lift?
At most ski areas, a season pass requires that guests have a valid photo and a signed waiver before they can access a lift, but with the complexities and legalities associated with skiing and riding, there are several reasons why a guest’s pass may not work when they get to the lift.
Read how the guests can use pass checker before arriving to the resort, here!
Reducing Credit Card Chargebacks
Many of our resorts are reporting a significantly higher number of chargebacks from online purchases than have been seen previously. To help reduce this impact for our customers, the Aspenware team has been meeting with our payment gateway partners, talking with thought leaders, and looking at the research on how we can work together to minimize fraudulent chargebacks and successfully challenge chargeback disputes when they do happen.
We are thrilled to have recently added 2 new resorts to our Aspenware Family! Welcome to Marmot Basin, located near Jasper, Alberta in the Canadian Rockies, and Alyeska Resort. Alyeska Resort is located 40 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska in the town of Gridwood. Our implementation team has really enjoyed working with the teams from our new resorts, especially Marty and Jake who got to visit the team in Alaska this fall.
Congratulations to both the Marmot and Alyeska teams for the work you have put into your beautiful new stores. Your teams have been a pleasure to work with and we are so excited to have you as our customers.
