Certain discounted passes and products require validation of customer military and/or student status. Aspenware integrates with SheerID to enable student/military validation. Once received, codes from SheerID enable certain restricted products to be purchased on the ecommerce site.

SheerID supports both military and college verification. This is most commonly used to offer discounted passes and tickets for student/military customers. SheerID prevents customers from checking out with these products until they have completed the verification process and input the unique code.

  • Military Restricted Products - Discounted products can be offered and limited to verified military customers. Below is a screenshot of the military verification page linked in the personalization step of the checkout flow.

  • Student Restricted Products - Discounted products can be offered and limited to verified student customers. Below is a screenshot of the student verification page linked in the personalization step of the checkout flow. Sugarbush has different discount levels for different partnering colleges, so they have unique verification forms and sets of verification codes depending on the college.

  • Using the same SheerID values for multiple years - The same SheerID classification values can be used for multiple years if enough codes are generated. On the other hand, if you would like to reset SheerID codes after a specified amount of time, new values must be added. The codes can be set to single time use so that the same code can’t be used again once it’s validated, but if you used the same code year-after-year, someone could get a code and delay using it until a future year if an audit did not take place.
