The Payment Gateway component ensures that the resort’s chosen payment provider integrates seamlessly with the POS and Aspenware Commerce to provdive guests with an efficient, secure method of payment for their purchases.
This feature is supported for: all configurations of Aspenware Commerce.
Feature Description
Aspenware Commerce supports resorts in customizing their payment methods to enhance the guest experience with an efficient and secure payment step at checkout. It also allows for seamless integration with the POS for many payment gateways. Within the payment gateway, resorts can carefully enable guests to pay with a variety of methods including credit cards, gift cards, vouchers, and use stored value. Additionally, depending on the selection of payment provider, guests may also use Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal.
Aspenware Commerce offers has integrated with several payment gateway providers in order to offer our resort customers flexibility in customizing their systems. These selections were based on:
Country location;
Currency used for processing;
Acquiring bank/network;
POS used (i.e. RTP|One, Siriusware); and
Tokenization options.

NOTE: Affirm, while included in the “payment method” list in nopCommerce, is in fact an “installment payment plan”, and as such can operate alongside other gateways, like Heartland or Payeezy.
NOTE: Kount Command is a freestanding fraud mitigation plugin that can run in tandem with any of our payment gateways (except Braintree), offering resort operators additional insight into customer transactions. Customer must have created an account with Kount prior to enabling this plugin.
Gateway Features
All payment gateways require the resort customer to apply and undergo underwriting and risk assessment, identify their acquiring bank/network, and receive a Merchant ID. The resort customer is responsible for activating additional services, such as American Express or other credit card providers. Resort customers will need to create an ecommerce account, used for processing card-not-present transactions.
Fraud Control:
CVV/CVD and AVS (Postal Code) are integral to all of our credit card gateways.
3DSecure is integral to Windcave.
Kount is integral to Braintree and Aspenware recommends using that integration instead of the Aspenware Kount Command plugin.
Aspenware Kount Command is a freestanding plugin that runs with all gateways except Authorize.net and Braintree. Note that Moneris has integration with Kount Command, but Aspenware customers are encouraged to use the Aspenware Kount Command integration instead to avoid transaction fees from the payment gateway provider in the event of a decline.
