Self-Registration software enables resorts to set up Kiosks where guests can complete child registration tasks, emergency contact information, rental profile tasks, and print relevant guest details (such as rental info) from the IIS server. |
Tip |
---|
This feature is supported for: Resorts that use RTP|One as a POS and have a license for Aspenware Arrival and/or Resort Tools. |
Warning |

This feature is not supported for: Resorts that use Siriusware as a POS. |
Note |
---|
IMPORTANT: “Resort Tools - Kiosk” and “Aspenware Arrival” are complementary tools to improve your guest experience, however, each product requires unique and separate implementation and configuration.
Typically resorts use a combination of both products to achieve optimal onsite experience for all. For example, a resort would email guests with upcoming orders and missing information before their trip, prompting them to complete information online using “Aspenware Arrival.” These guests can go straight to their activity. For guests that show up the day of, they would be directed to a kiosk to fill out information using “Resort Tools - Kiosk.” |
Feature Description
Resort Tools - Kiosk is most commonly used at Rental Shops, Ski School, and the Pass Office, however, it can be used anywhere that has an RTP POS where mountain products are sold. This typically replaces customer sign-in at the rental shop, is used in Ski Schools for capturing waivers, child registration information, and rental profile, and is often used in pass offices for waiver capture.
Resorts can set up kiosks in different locations across the mountain with unique configurations per location, and even per-kiosk, to facilitate a faster check-in flow without requiring staff assistance. Tasks for kiosk check-in can be ordered or removed to the resort’s preference and include:
collecting emergency contact details
completing child registration profiles
completing rental profile (and optionally selecting the damage waiver)
signing waivers
printing guest details from IIS (anything that can be printed from IIS can be included on the print-out)
Regardless of the tasks chosen for a kiosk, the first step every guest will step through is locating or creating an account for registration.
Locating/Creating an account for registration
Guests can locate their accounts through various methods:
1. Guests can scan a pass and their account will automatically be pulled up (card reader peripheral required).
2. Guests can search for their information by first name, last name, and DOB.
3. Guests can look up their accounts by entering their order # (an existing order in RTP is required).

NOTE: If the guest does not have an account on file, they will be prompted to create an account after they have searched by their own information or order #. |
Selecting registration participants
Once a user’s account has been located, they will be able to select each individual that will be participating in the registration. If needed, the guest can add new family members as well.
Child Registration collection
The child registration step will only apply to specific age ranges, which are configurable by the resort. If the participant(s) selected are not within the specified age range, then this step will be skipped.
Emergency Contact collection
The emergency contact step will only apply to specific age ranges, which are configurable by the resort. If the participant(s) selected are not within the specified age range, then this step will be skipped.
Rental Profile collection
When enabled, rental profile information will be collected for all participants. Optionally, an “add damage waiver” button can be enabled, which would prompt the POS to add damage protection to the order when finalizing their order.
Waiver collection
Waiver collection saves signatures for participants. If a minor is a participant, then only adults above the resort’s specified age range will be selectable members to complete the waiver on behalf of the minor.
Printing
As a final step, optionally, print information from IIS. Printing is commonly used to print a rental form that can be scanned for rental fulfillment.
