The checkout flow highlights to the guest that their credit card is being collected to reserve the tee time but is not being charged at the time of purchase. Products can be priced if you intend to collect the course fee during the reservation. Tee-times when added to the cart are locked for a period of time to block other guests from overbooking the same tee-time. If the guest does not book within a reasonable time-frame the lock is removed and another guest can book the time-slot.

Once the Overbooking prevention & price change assurance
Aspenware has functionality that prevents guests from overbooking tee-times. Once an order is completed in AW, the reservation is sent to EZLinks . If there is no longer availability for that course’s tee-time, then the course/time will not display for booking on the siteand that tee-time and player quantity are removed from further reservations.
Further, there is no cart “locking”. If two guests add the same date/time to their cart, the guest that fully completes checkout first will reserve the tee-time and the other guest will receive a message that the tee-time is no longer available.

The same applies if AW is unable to connect to EZLinks, an unable to complete order message is displayed. Or if the guest added the reservation to their cart and waited a day or two and the tee-time price changes. In this instance, the guest would not be allowed to complete checkout and they would receive a message that the price has changed.
