Configuration: Identity v3 (Powered by Auth0)

 

Prerequisite Tasks

The following tasks must be completed before Aspenware can install the Identity v3 (Powered by Auth0) plugin. Please contact Aspenware Service (support@aspenware.com) if you have any questions.

Hosting and Minimum Versions

To implement Identity v3 (Powered by Auth0), the resort must meet the following criteria:

  • Resort must be an Aspenware Cloud customer using the Aspenware Cloud hosting platform.

  • Resort must be on the following minimum versions or later:

    • Unity 3.45

    • Commerce 3.4

    • Cloud UI 1.5

  • Resort must have an active account with Auth0.

Fair: At least 8 characters including a lower-case letter, an upper-case letter, and a number.

Good (Recommended): At least 8 characters including at least 3 of the following 4 types of characters: a lower-case letter, an upper-case letter, a number, a special character (such as !@#$%^&*).

Excellent: At least 10 characters including at least 3 of the following 4 types of characters: a lower-case letter, an upper-case letter, a number, a special character (such as !@#$%^&*). Not more than 2 identical characters in a row (for example, 111 is not allowed).

Select Fair, Good, Excellent

Auth0 Transactional Emails (Password Resets, Verifications, Account Linking, etc.)

 

Supported SMTP Providers: Sendgrid (Recommended), Mailgun, Mandrill, Amazon SES, Microsoft 365, Sparkpost, Azure.

It is strongly recommended that the Resort utilize an SMTP provider and have a dedicated IP address for transactional emails. This will significantly increase the likelihood of guests receiving one-time code emails when signing in and verification codes when linking accounts.

Aspenware Commerce Tasks

Disable usernames in Commerce by searching All Settings for the customersettings.usernamesenabled setting and change it to FALSE.

NOTE: Credentials will continue to be stored in RTP; Resort support staff can still adjust auth profile credentials.
