Have you heard?

Affirm Integration

Did you know that Aspenware Commerce now offers integration with Affirm? You may have seen Affirm on many eCommerce websites such as Amazon, Wal-Mart, or Delta Vacations offering customers the option to pay for their online purchases over time with fixed monthly payments. The Buy Now, Pay Later financing method is becoming more and more popular for American consumers, especially for larger discretionary purchases.

Scaling for Flash Sales, Product Launches, or Other Website Events

If you are planning a flash sale or a product launch with limited-time pricing or inventory, Aspenware strongly recommends scaling for these scenarios. Please review the scenarios here and take the appropriate actions. Notify your Aspenware Representative at least 7 business days prior to the flash sale to ensure your site has the proper Azure tier for the sale and get your product configuration questions answered ahead of the sale.

Holiday Sales

It’s that time of year again, with the holidays right around the corner. So what are some best practices you can use during your Holiday Sales to maximize your resort’s success?

  • Selective Guest Checkout: With Selective Guest Checkout, you will increase conversion by specifying select products as a “Guest Checkout” product. This is extremely helpful in your sales, as many guests use this time to purchase gifts for their loved ones. It will: reduce cart abandonment, accelerate checkout speed, and should lead to increased sales.

  • Cross Sell: Cross Sell allows you to select specific products that you wish to drive further traffic and sales towards.  This is different than your ability for add-ons and related products.  This feature allows you to call direct attention to another product, that is typically complimentary to the guest’s shopping cart.

  • Scaling: If your resort decides to run a flash sale during this time period, then scaling will be necessary in order to keep the guest experience smooth.  We define a flash sale as a short period of time where your resort will be driving approximately 300% more traffic to your e-commerce site than what is typical. See the above Scaling article on how to properly request your store to be scaled.

Aspenware Spotlight

Meet Leigh Bush! She’s one of our talented Business Analysts at Aspenware. She’s been with the company for almost 2.5 years now.

  • Leigh’s favorite project is one that can not be fully unveiled yet, but has been enabled her to get to know others in the ski technology industry in addition to various subject matter experts within our own company. This project has made Leigh proud of how Aspenware communicates with stakeholders and delivers on Aspenware’s vision as well as pivots to embrace changing business requirements. She loves being able to apply this experience to her current project management coursework.

  • When we asked Leigh what is one thing she wished everyone knew about or used, she replied with: “I hope our resorts know and use selective guest checkout, which I think is a pretty neat option that makes shopping breezy!”

  • Where can you find Leigh when she’s not managing the next best product at Aspenware? Riding bikes and baking cakes!
