Overview: Universal Analytics (formerly Google Analytics)
This feature is supported for: All versions of Aspenware Commerce.
NOTE: This original iteration of Google Analytics, also known as Universal Analytics (UA), will be sundowned by Google on July 1, 2023. UA and GA4 can be run simultaneously to allow resorts to import and interpret new GA4 data while maintaining current UA data.
Feature Description
The inclusion of Google Analytics helps deliver a high-quality website to guests and provides the resort with all the necessary information regarding the website and e-commerce statistics. The feature lets resorts know at what rate guests are visiting their site, converting, and not interested. Google Analytics allows resorts to track and understand guest behavior, user experience, online content, device functionality, and more. Google Analytics works by the inclusion of a block of JavaScript code on pages in the resort’s ecommerce site. When guests to the site view a page, this JavaScript code references a JavaScript file which then executes the tracking operation for Google Analytics. Because Aspenware Commerce uses single-page app technology, a custom Google Tag Manager configuration is required in order to properly track Google Analytics within Aspenware Commerce.
