Overview: Affirm

This feature is supported for: US Customers using RTP|One or Siriusware for POS. Multi-store environments are also supported.

This feature is NOT supported for:

  1. Non-US customers. Affirm only offers financing for US customers, it cannot be used by non-US citizens. Shoppers residing in any other nation are not currently eligible for Affirm financing. In the event a non-US shopper attempts to pay with Affirm, they will be rejected for the loan and returned to Aspenware Commerce, where they may continue to pay with another payment method.

  2. Some products cannot be financed, such as products that offer the option to sign up for resort charge, which requires a credit card to be used for the payment method. Other products such as gift cards cannot be financed, they must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Aspenware Payment Plan products and Aspenware Subscriptions are also not eligible for Affirm financing.

Affirm Classification

The Affirm classification (Is Affirm Eligible) is a product classification that can be assigned to the desired products in Aspenware Commerce. When guests purchase products flagged with this classification, and they meet minimum cart amounts and all other requirements, they will be able to select to pay with Affirm.

Minimum Cart Amounts

The Minimum Cart Value, configured in the Affirm payment provider plug-in can be configured to force a minimum cart value guests must meet in order to qualify for Affirm payment in checkout. If the cart does not meet this amount, Affirm payments will be hidden in the checkout payment page.

Affirm Payment Method Plug-in

The module used to configure the integration between Aspenware Commerce and Affirm.

Feature Description

Affirm is offered as a payment method in many well-known eCommerce merchants, such as Peloton, Purple, Vrbo, Nordstrom, Pottery Barn, Walmart, and more. Using Affirm allows the shopper to pay over time for their purchases. To do so, the shopper must receive loan approval from Affirm by providing some information and agreeing to the Affirm loan terms and conditions. All these steps are handled by Affirm. Aspenware’s integration to Affirm exposes the steps in Aspenware Commerce, but Affirm takes care of all aspects of the loan, loan agreement, and terms. Once the shopper is qualified for the Affirm loan, Affirm can then be used to pay for eligible products in the store.

NOTE: To qualify for Affirm payments, the customer must meet the following criteria:

  1. The customer must be a US citizen.

  2. All products in the cart must be Affirm Eligible.

  3. The cart must meet or exceed the minimum cart value.

  4. The customer must pass Affirm’s loan eligibility check during their loan approval process with Affirm.
