Error rendering macro 'excerpt-include' : No link could be created for 'Categories'.

This feature is supported for: All Commerce configurations can use categories, as well as subcategories and hidden categories.

Key Terms

Parent Category

This is a type of category that is divided into subcategories. This is often used by stores to separate lesson or activity types.

Subcategory

A Subcategory is a subordinate grouping of products under an overarching parent category. A subcategory will only become visible once the parent category is selected.

Hidden Category

Unlike normal categories, hidden categories do not appear on the main page. These categories can be restricted to customer roles and specific URLs. These categories can be useful for renewal, discounted, or employee products.

Feature Detail

Categories are used to group similar products together onto a single PDP. Categories can be configured to function as parent categories, subcategories, and hidden categories. All products must be assigned to a category in order for the product to be visible in the store.
