Aspenware is happy to announce Aspenware Commerce 2.19. We’re excited to bring you some new features, including Fast Flow, Selective Guest Checkout and Moneris payment provider integration. We’ve also addressed several resort requests and high-priority bugs.
Updates, Features, and Upgrades
Selective Guest Checkout
Aspenware now offers guest checkout by product. Resorts have the option to both enable and disable guest checkout globally, as well as on a per product basis. When enabled globally and by product, administrators will flag those products they want eligible for guest checkout within product setup. Guests may then checkout without logging in if all items in their cart are guest check-in eligible. For more information or configuration details see the 2.19 Selective Guest Checkout Release Guide.
Fast Flow Plugin
We are particularly excited to help guests get check out and get on the mountain quicker with our latest Fast Flow plugin. Aspenware Fast Flow includes a new scanner component that allows guests to scan their media QR code and retrieve their pass media data. This allows for quick product assignment even for guests who are not logged in. Guests can also use the component to type in pass media IDs such as RFID numbers. When combined with Selective Guest Checkout, Aspenware Fast Flow becomes a streamlined flow with the fewest steps to purchase yet. Currently Fast Flow is for RTP resorts only. For more information see the 2.19 Fast Flow Release Guide.
Enhanced Cross Sell Capabilities
Cross Sell is core NOP functionality that has been enhanced in Aspenware Commerce, allowing resort customers to dramatically call attention to specific products in an effort to drive sales while simultaneously assisting customers in completing their purchases.
We eliminate cross-sold products from displaying if they have already been purchased, and we don’t allow a single product to be presented multiple times if it has been triggered by different items in the cart, in an effort to deliver a curated set of suggested products without bombarding the guest with repeats and duplicates.
Attributes like date of use, etc. will pass from the trigger product to the cross sold product, making customer checkout easy and error-free.
Moneris Credit Card Gateway for Canadian Customers
Aspenware is happy to provide additional choices to our Canadian customers with the introduction of Moneris as in integrated credit card gateway. Current Moneris customers can opt in to ecommerce processing by requesting an additional MID, while customers new to Moneris can submit a simple online form to begin the process of creating a merchant account.
Rental Location Displayed in order confirmation
We’ve enhanced our email order confirmations to display the rental location for rental products, for both RTP|ONE and Siriusware resorts. If a guest purchases a rental product with a rental location in Aspenware Commerce, the rental location is now included in the Order Confirmation.
Enhancements to Original Price Display
There’s a new option available on Dynamic Pricing Settings to allow administrators to hide the original price on the PDP.
Now, if a product is dynamically priced, the original price will only show if:
The old price is not 0
The old price is greater than the new price
The Hide Original Price checkbox in the dynamic pricing admin panel (shown below) is not checked
Furthermore, if a product is not dynamically priced, the old price will only display if it is greater than the new price.
Resolved Issues
Able to add multi-day lesson to cart when inventory is not available for one of the days
Previously, if a multi-day consecutive inventory pool product had no inventory available for one of its days, it was still possible to add it to the cart. For example, if a three-day product had inventory for July 31 and August 1, but no inventory on August 2, the guest could still add to cart for July 31. This issue is addressed and the guest can no longer add to cart if any of the three days has no inventory available.
Radio button dates shown as available in date picker when no inventory is available
For resorts using radio button dates for inventory pool products, the date showed in the date picker even if there was no inventory available. The guest could not add the date to cart, but it shouldn’t have been displayed in the first place if it wasn’t available. This problem has been solved, and the date isn’t displayed in the date picker if there’s no inventory for that date.
Price display issue on mobile
For resorts using dynamic pricing, there was a visual problem on mobile devices in the display of the old price/base price and the price tier. While this didn’t affect functionality and the guest could still add to cart and check out, it was a visual bug. This issue has been addressed.
Order History showing HTML characters instead of attribute description if special characters used
For resorts using special characters in attribute descriptions, such as 5’10” = 6’4” for a height range, these characters caused a display problem in Order History when the guest viewed Order History in My Account. The special characters (in this example, the single quote and double quote) were incorrectly displayed as HTML rather than text. This bug has been fixed, and the descriptions display as text now.
