Overview
Aspenware commerce has the ability to link to a specific date on the product detail page, but unfortunately not on the calendar page without the following workaround. The setting that controls which month is defaulted in the calendar view is a store-wide setting called seasonsettings.startdate, but unfortunately, if you set this season start date to November, you will block guest from being able to buy summer products, because it is essentially setting the earliest available purchase date. Until this is better supported in the product, there are a couple of workarounds available, depending on whether the specific product uses a calendar view or not.
1. Product NOT Configured with a Date Picker
Follow this article here for how to link to the first date of the season on the product detail page: https://support.aspenware.com/support/solutions/articles/42000039016
2. Product Configured with a Date Picker
From the Edit product details page go to the Specification attributes tab if any of the following apply:
Attribute Type: Custom Text
Attribute: Choose 'Product Cutoff Days [Cutoff Days]' from the list.
NOTE: Product Cutoff Days [Cutoff Days] [Hidden] must be first set up as a specification attribute under Catalog > Attributes > Specification attributes if it does not exist already.
Value: Enter the number days until their ticket start date. So for example if today is 133 from the season start date, that could be the value entered. Note: Keep in mind that, every 20 or so days, this value will need to be updated.
NOTE: Keep in mind that, every 20 or so days, this value will need to be updated.
Allow Filtering: Leave unselected
Show on product page: Select this
Select Add attribute
NOTE: To remove or edit the cutoff days, go to the Specifications attributes tab and edit/remove the Product Cutoff Days [Cutoff Days] Attribute.
NOTE: The product will become unavailable to purchase at 11:59pm for a date that is the specified number of days out.
