Collections

Collections are data groupings that can be referenced through Arrival. Pass Checker utilizes Collections for referencing Lift codes and hotlist codes in RTP|One.

Collection Items

Collection Items are housed under “Collections” and are mappings to RTP|One codes. Once mapped, text displayed to guests can be customized to be customer-facing. Pass Checker utilizes this for referencing RTP|One’s Lift names and hotlist messaging.

Feature Description

Searching for a course

Golf reservation products are hosted in their own category. An optimized search tool enables guests to easily search and book based on their desired date, tee-time range, number of holes, and number of players. If the course has availability based on search criteria, then a short description of the course along with the rate is displayed. If a course does not have availability based on search criteria, then the course image is greyed out and a message informing guests that no tee times are available is displayed.

Info

NOTE: Pricing, tee-times, and course availability are controlled in EZLinks and are not configurable in Aspenware.

...

Adding reservations to cart

Once a guest has selected a course they are taken to the course’s product description page (PDP) where they can select from available tee-times and add the desired players to their cart.

...

Checkout for tee-times

For resorts using a supported payment provider, the checkout flow highlights to the guest that their credit card is being collected to reserve the tee time but is not being charged at the time of purchase.

...

Prior to completing the reservation, a configurable language string is available to add custom text to notify guests of booking and course policies.

...

Overbooking prevention & price change assurance

Aspenware has functionality that prevents guests from overbooking tee-times. Once an order is completed in AW, the reservation is sent to EZLinks and that tee-time and player quantity are removed from further reservations.

Further, there is no cart “locking”. If two guests add the same date/time to their cart, the guest that fully completes checkout first will reserve the tee-time and the other guest will receive a message that the tee-time is no longer available.

...

This also applies if AW is unable to connect to EZLinks, an unable to complete order message will be displayed. Or if the guest added the reservation to their cart, waited a day or two, and the tee-time price changes; in this instance, the guest would not be allowed to complete checkout and they would receive a message that the price has changed.

Online Check-in / Customer Pre-pay

Resorts can enable/disable guests to check-in and prepay for their course ahead of their tee-times.

Pass Checker utilizes the same access validation rules that are set up in a resort’s RTP|One environment. When a guest checks if their pass is valid in Arrival, it utilizes the same function that is used for a validate-only scan at a lift (a scan will not be recorded). Pass Checker validates for date of use and for access control. It does not currently validate for a specific time of day. When a pass is scanned, Pass Checker validates against a default setting of 11:30 AM MT. If the ticket has a time limitation on it, and it is not valid at 11:30 AM MT, Pass Checker will return a “Not Valid” response.

Navigating to Pass Checker

Guests can be directed to Pass Checker through three methods:

1. Email campaigns where guests receive a “POS” Arrival URL (most often sent to a guest when they have a purchase requiring an Arrival task to complete).

2. Guests navigating to a “non-POS” Arrival URL (most often from a QR code the guest scans on-site for a resort activity).

3. Guests being provided a direct link to the Pass Checker URL (via a QR code or any method of sharing the guest a link).

...

Checking Passes

Once on the Pass Checker URL, guests can look up their pass eligibility by either Pass# or RFID#. They can also filter between specific lifts and date combinations to check their pass eligibility. This is useful for resorts that limit lift access for specific gates and also for passes that have blackout dates.

...

Pass Validation

Once a guest completes their pass check, a message is returned with details that their pass is valid or is not valid based on their filters.

For valid passes, a message box will appear notifying the guest that their pass is valid. The product name displayed will match the name of the product in RTP|One. The text at the bottom of the message box is customizable to provide the guest with useful information.

...

For invalid passes, a message box will appear notifying the guest that their pass is invalid. Arrival can be configured to display the RTP|One invalid reasonor a reference table can be used that will display text that is more customer-facing. The bottom text line is also customizable to provide the guest with more assistance options.
