Time-Based Activity

A time-based activity is a product that has been assigned time-based functionality to accommodate the option to allow guests to sign up for various time slots throughout the day. It enables the resort to limit capacity for those activities and must be correlated to a product set up within the Activity module within RTP|One.

Feature Description

Time-based activity products are products that are simple and offered at time slots throughout the day. Examples include tubing, zip-lining, or snowshoe tours. Time-based activities can be set up for products that are set up in RTP|One as an activity. By setting up a product as a time-based activity, it checks for available time-slots and associated inventory to populate on the product detail page. Activity functionality also activates an “Activity Lock” as soon as the product has been added to the cart, if the lock expires before checkout, the site attempts to retrieve a new “Activity Lock” and if it is unsuccessful, removes the activity product from the cart. The same “lock checking” behavior occurs before completing checkout.
