Payment Value Vouchers

Payment value vouchers are codes in RTP that have a dollar value assigned to them. In AWC they behave as an alternate form of payment (like a gift card or stored value) that deducts the voucher’s dollar value from the order total when entered in checkout. (This voucher type does not require the AWC Voucher plugin to be installed).

Fenced Products

A fenced product is a product that is only available to certain eligible shoppers. Voucher products are “fenced” through a special link that is accessed through a voucher. It is hidden from the general public and only accessible to guests who have an active voucher ID.

Product Voucher

In AWC a “Product Voucher” is used to direct a customer directly to a fenced product. Without a valid voucher, guests are unable to purchase the product even if they manage to navigate directly to that PDP. Note that Product Voucher templates IDs can onlybe set up to apply to a single product in Aspenware Commerce; however the product in Aspenware Commerce can be attributed to point to several RTP|One product headers.

Discount Vouchers

Discount vouchers in RTP|One provide discounted pricing to standard products (not fenced) in Aspenware Commerce for guests with active voucher codes. Note that Discount Voucher templates can be setup to apply to a single or multiple products in AWC. And if the voucher is setup in RTP as a single-use voucher, and more than one Discount Voucher eligible product is added to the cart, then the discount will be _____removed altogether?____________.

Discount vouchers can apply to multiple products. An example of this would be “30% off an Adult or Child Lift Ticket.” If the discount voucher is limited to a single-use, the vouchers can only be used on one product, and if more than one eligible product is added to the cart, the discount will be removed altogether. These are similar to discount codes, but while discount codes use generic codes such as “SAVE30,” discount vouchers are an option for giving a “user-specific” discount. Consider whether it would better fit your needs to use a discount code instead of a discount voucher. Discount vouchers in RTP|One provide discounted pricing on standard products in Aspenware Commerce or RTP|One POS to guests with active voucher codes, that are otherwise full priced products. Discount voucher templates can be set up to apply to many products in Aspenware Commerce.

Product/Discount Vouchers

Product/Discount vouchers are a combination of Prodcut Vouchers and Discount Vouchers. If a guest has an active Product/Discount voucher, these vouchers provide provide access to fenced products and discount the total price of the product once added to cart. Note that Product/Discount voucher templates can onlybe set up to apply to a single product in Aspenware Commerce; however the product in Aspenware Commerce can be attributed to point to several RTP|One product headers.

Product/discount vouchers in RTP|One provide special access to both fenced products and discounted pricing in Aspenware Commerce or RTP|One POS to guests with active voucher codes. These fenced products are otherwise not available for general sale and are also typically setup at a full price because the discount portion of the voucher will take the price down, showing the crossed out old price and new price. Product voucher templates can only be set up to apply to a single product in Aspenware Commerce; however the product in Aspenware Commerce can be attributed to point to several RTP|One product headers.

It allows a variety of voucher types to be redeemed online using an installed banner widget which can be accessed from anywhere on a resort’s Commerce store. This functionality is perfect for the redemption of Friends & Family tickets or Employee coupons.

Any number of RTP|One Voucher Template IDs may then be added to the product (though they may not be used across several products). Once added, resorts may then activate the voucher banner that allows customers to validate and redeem their voucher IDs directly from the banner. In addition to preventing vouchers from being used more than once, product voucher pages are invisible and fenced from any guest without a valid voucher ID. Vouchers are deactivated upon complete order and are also restricted from being used twice within the same order.

Voucher Redemption also includes functionality within the My Account voucher section. Guests are able to View/Print, Email or Redeem eligible vouchers from this page. These voucher CTAs can be displayed or hidden based on how the voucher product is configured in Administration.

Voucher Redemption gives the guest the ability to either email and/or redeem a product voucher via their My Account page. When vouchers are redeemed via the email redemption flow or the My Account redemption flow, the voucher code is prefilled in for the guest. These features are configurable within the product voucher setup and resorts can select whether each voucher template can be printed, emailed, and/or viewed. Selecting “redeem” from My Account validates the voucher and directs guests to a fenced PDP. There, guests can add their special product using their unique product voucher to the cart. Selecting “email” allows guests to enter an email address and share their voucher. The voucher email template (which is installed via the vouchers plugin) can be customized. Once received, guests can either copy-paste their received voucher ID into the resort’s voucher banner or redeem directly from the email by selecting the “redeem” button. When vouchers are redeemed via the redeem button, either in the email redemption flow or the My Account redemption flow, the voucher code is prefilled in for the guest.
